Salt life

62 more days and I will be able to hug my son! I will see him walking around the house, playing the piano and the guitar and I can even bake his favorite goods without thinking "I wish he was here to eat it"!! It will be a good day!!! He does not want to talk about coming home though...

This week e mail was full of testimony, gratefulness and love. He loves the people there. He worries and he cares for each one of them. He tells us stories and problems and asks us to pray for each of his branch members and investigators.

Carolina was baptized last Sunday. the water was rough and his companion, who has been in the field for 2 weeks was to baptize her. Jason decided that he should be the witness and went to the baptism dressed in white so he could be closer to them because of the roughness of the ocean.

He said that "The ocean took them to deeper water and I had to swim and bring them back".

"The members and Carolina and the new missionary were very nervous and we had to say a prayer to calm everyone and thank Heavenly Father for protecting us, and saving us from the rough waters. After the prayer, we were able to perform the baptism and we could see how Carolina was happy, her countenance changed, she was cleansed from her sins."

He looks worried and sad in this picture but he said he was happy, just worried about what had just happened.

When he was called to the Island I thought about the fact that he was an ocean lifeguard right before his mission, I knew that one day, that would be useful to him.

I just love this man! It is amazing how he grew spiritually and as a person. When he comes back, many things will be different, many things will not be the way he wanted it to be. But one thing did not change..The love that his family has for him. The respect that Heavenly Father has for his work...
